Your reaction matters. It’s not just a vote you are in control of, but the way in which you are led and will lead. The collective shame that hangs in the air today is real. We need leadership that doesn't hang on “side” but wisdom, humility, peace and love. I’m not talking about the next president. I am talking about you. We must lead in the mirror. We must lead our families. We must lead our communities. We must practice justice while denouncing oppression and opposition. We must be peacemakers. It’s not about rising up or standing down, it's about letting go into love. Idealistic? Hell no! We are more than anger. More than shame. More than violence. Your “party” is not the starting point, your neighbor is.
