Burnout

Burnout is not too much time dedicated to what you love. Burnout is too much time dedicated to ignoring what you love. I worked in the TV industry for years. Giving every cell of my body to being the best. I moved markets, climbed the ladder and achieved a modicum of success. It took me around the world. I've met presidents, rockstars, murderers, lotto winners, race car drivers, athletes, and people rebuilding after devastating natural disasters. TV was a good time but I burned myself down along the way. I drank too much, ignored my wife too much and walked away from God more than a few times. All things I truly love and hold in high regard and priority today. Yes, my love for TV was real but the egoic and fearful ambitious chase set me on fire ignoring the true loves of my life. After many years of looking squarely in the mirror and taking responsibility for the burnout, I stand in a much different awareness and consciousness. Thank God! Keeping your priorities anchored in love will invariably keep you distanced from the burn. But remember, burnout is not too much time dedicated to what you love. Burnout is too much time dedicated to ignoring what you love.

What do you ignore?
