Be Dangerously Personal

We guard. We hold tight. We run fast and fight hard. Our judgments of self can be so punishing we simply roll up any possibility of living fully alive. Like children terrified of the monster in the closet, we freeze, hardly breathing, until we fall asleep. How do you judge yourself and why won't you let people know your story? These questions push us up against the spiritual wall as we seek to know love and WANT to be loved. Knowing love means being dangerously personal. Allowing OPPORTUNITY to be known by discharging our judgements of self into the hearts of another. When was the last time you told someone how harshly you see yourself? When was the last time mercy and grace showered on your story instead of shame and guilt. When was the last time you simply gave your story to another. Holding your heart out for another is risky business, but far better than living in a self-imposed prison of guilt and shame.

Who can you be dangerously personal with today?

Are you interested in spiritual direction? Here’s how to get started.

Step 1. Schedule a complimentary, no-obligation consult. Do that here.

Step 2. Watch your email for questions from me. Before we hop on the phone, I’d like to know a bit about you and what you’d like to get out of spiritual direction or coaching with me.

Step 3. Hit “reply” to that email and answer the questions.

Step 4. At the scheduled time of your consult, we’ll talk! We’ll use the opportunity to make sure we’re the perfect fit.

Step 5. Then we’ll get started! If you decide to work with me, I’ll tell you the exact steps for getting started. If you decide not to work with me or if we aren’t a perfect fit, I’m happy to share other resources to help you get what you need.
