Achievement and Holiness
God has no metrics for your failure or success. God is not hoping you make the “right” moves today. Jesus isn't cloud sitting saying, “Man I hope you read the Bible today and get your 30 minutes of prayer in!” The Divine loves you and hopes you learn to love. Burn achievement spirituality to the ground. Accomplishment and holiness have nothing in common. Not a damn thing! Holiness holds to love, mercy and grace. All things we should be doing SACRIFICIALLY in community, not looking for the next spiritual curtain call relishing in accomplishment. Rest in love. Trust its power to bring us closer to one another as we learn to SERVE and SEEK JUSTICE. Doing right looks like love and love, for the record, doesn't give a shit about its position, power or accomplishment. It wants one thing: more love!
