Everything Wanders
You must wander. It is a rite of passage. You will wander in thought, philosophy, ideology, spirituality, religion, politics, family, perhaps country, the list goes on and on. You will have detractors. They will call you back, always. You will hear their whispers with every new horizon. You will also have fellow wanderers who, like those you have left, will be calling out for greater distance between you and “home.” Not all trips serve you nor provide loving shelter. Discernment must find its maturity through faith. And faith only comes once you decide to wander. It's a tricky trek that waits for everyone. Wisdom is the staple that binds a faithful journey. It must produce life, love and the desire to move in the face of need. Arrival is never the objective. Revelation into true self and gratitude for the road back home is the task at hand. You are in good company as you wander. Many have come before you, who like you, were terrified to take even one small step. But step you must, it is in you and delights in your willingness to seek who you are.
