A Broken Heart Has Nothing To Fear

A broken heart has nothing to fear. Its value is found not only in emotion but in its ability to love again. Do you love tactically, or through surrender? Do you gear up for heartbreak or allow the experience of love to bear witness regardless of the outcome? Divine love is always pushing for our “guard” to drop. Always welcoming us, inviting us through love to the deep spots of mind, body and spirit. Not only in us but those around us. Unfortunately most of us are very controlled with love. We build safety and protection mechanisms that keep us tactically ready for the heart to break. Meaning we are in until it hurts, then out, for fear of losing who we are at the very core. It is the heart’s job to break and its breaking is inevitable. We can not run. We can not hide. We must learn to love and hold its loss or dissolve into loneliness. God has designed love to keep loving. It is a cycle with no end, challenging us beyond pain, beyond betrayal, beyond the senses of self that may be obliterated within heartbreak. Ultimately the discovery of love comes to fruition once we have a clear understanding we were made to love again and again and again. Jumping at its invitation regardless of the outcome because love is who we are at the very core.

What is your heartbreak?

Are you interested in spiritual direction? Here’s how to get started.

Step 1. Schedule a complimentary, no-obligation consult. Do that here.

Step 2. Watch your email for questions from me. Before we hop on the phone, I’d like to know a bit about you and what you’d like to get out of spiritual direction or coaching with me.

Step 3. Hit “reply” to that email and answer the questions.

Step 4. At the scheduled time of your consult, we’ll talk! We’ll use the opportunity to make sure we’re the perfect fit.

Step 5. Then we’ll get started! If you decide to work with me, I’ll tell you the exact steps for getting started. If you decide not to work with me or if we aren’t a perfect fit, I’m happy to share other resources to help you get what you need.
