The Soul Requires Silence
Silence is not simply spiritual practice. It is the very voice of the Divine. We are captured to silence. We seek its ease, peace and ability to soothe every emotional upheaval. When all else fails silence is the very friend that helps us into places of wisdom. It is not a lack of sound. It is the ability to listen and realize you are never alone. Silence helps us see a living, thriving energy in us geared to love community. God isn't pressed by our measuring of time in silence. God seeks you in your stillness. It is the Divine operating mode. You may live a loud life and be plugged into contemplative silent energy. This way of life or practice is not simply for the cloistered. We have spent way too long denying Spirit its power to connect us all in our spiritual differences. We all belong to silence. We own it’s love. We were created for its communion.
