Resistance To Know Self Is A Form Of Poverty
Today is NOT motivation. Today is awareness; consciousness of the poverty you play out by simply not engaging who you are. Listen deeply to that voice that stalks you whispering, hoping you move on the longings of your heart. Wondering when the “time” will come. When that email will be sent. That call made. That thing you’ve dreamed about since you were a kid. That place you've always wanted to visit or live. Those people you've longed to hang with or create with. There are a million reasons to stray from what's true about you. It’s not a matter of not knowing. You know. You long. You desire. This lies squarely in your ability to be honest with yourself and know what the resistance to moving forward is. Is it addiction, codependency, sense of responsibility, money, ideology, oppression, cultural boundary? What is it? What stops you? Say it out loud. Admit it. Take responsibility for it. Hold it out into the light. Give it a reason to take the back seat to who you are. Resistance to know self is poverty.
