It's Not Personal, It’s Ego
The cutting of the ego is guaranteed to feel personal. In fact, it's designed to be personal. The biting grip of a bruised ego is the very measuring stick of our spiritual condition. Wanna know what you're protecting in ego? Wanna know where false self protrudes in your life and into the lives of others? Take a look at that last punch you took personally. Write the circumstances down. Bust apart that scenario and have a good deep jump into how your fear was sparked. How your ego was hurt. How shame may have played into it. How your anger may have fueled the situation or how you tried to simply make yourself something you are not. All because your ego sits at the top of your food chain. This is your life’s work and instrumental in helping you into true self awareness. It takes massive cojones to self actualize, but with a little sprinkle of Divine help and the love of community you may feel the peace, joy and freedom from ego just long enough to have nothing to prove and nothing to lose.
