It’s All In The Question

Any good spiritual teacher or spiritual director worth their salt challenges through the asking of questions. Questions have a self reflectivity that become the pathway to awareness and consciousness. Jesus asked many questions of his friends. Questions that struck at the very core of who they were, how they believed, how they saw the community and the big one: how they love beyond self judgement, cultural assumptions and oppression. Here are few...

“Who is your “family”?”

“What does community mean?”

“How will you fight oppression?”

“Who do you say I [Jesus] am?”

“Who is God?”

“Can you keep watch?”

“Are you “sleeping” concerning matters of oppression and injustice?”

“How do you see suffering?”

“How do you love and whom?”

How do you answer and who is asking questions of you?
