Expose Your Poverty

Your poverty, no matter how rich or poor, will be the very thing that lifts you into freedom. I struggle with anger. It gets the best of me and those around me. It sends me to my knees. It leaves me empty. it hinders me. Hinders relationships, how I see myself, God and you. My poverty is anger. That last sentence can be filled with shame and destruction if I decide that poverty will be a way of life. If I decide to know and not actively seek help. If I am unwilling to communicate its hurt and pain. If I will not accept mercy, grace or forgiveness for self. If I will not move into repentance, ask forgiveness and continue personal inventory coupled with good solid accountability. I must decide to do the work of knowing self while leaning into the infinite grace of God. This work will strip the paint off your house or require you to build a new one. Either way, freedom is yours in the knowing of your poverty.

What is your poverty?
