Time and Your Heart

We all suck a little at managing time versus being present. It’s a constant battle between what we do, when we do, who we do it with and how we love. We like to say, “it’s a balancing act.” But we know that's bullshit. The truth is, what/who we give our time to is where the heart is, period. How do we not suck? We decide to give time versus manage time. We decide, intentionally moving into the needs of others is much more life giving than the metric of space between people. We must be honest, forthcoming and challenge ourselves to a deeper way of loving. I’m not saying ignore the day to day responsibilities in lieu of running through flowering fields with those you love, I’m saying loving others has nothing to do with time management and much to do with the intentionality of being present. You’ll know you’re hitting the mark when those in front of you don’t “miss” you even if your present.

Are you interested in working with J.R.? Here’s how to get started.

Step 1. Schedule a complimentary, no-obligation consult. Do that here.

Step 2. Watch your email for questions from me. Before we hop on the phone, I’d like to know a bit about you and what you’d like to get out of spiritual direction or coaching with me.

Step 3. Hit “reply” to that email and answer the questions.

Step 4. At the scheduled time of your consult, we’ll talk! We’ll use the opportunity to make sure we’re the perfect fit.

Step 5. Then we’ll get started! If you decide to work with me, I’ll tell you the exact steps for getting started. If you decide not to work with me or if we aren’t a perfect fit, I’m happy to share other resources to help you get what you need.
