The Tenor Of Tit For Tat

The ability to remember is fuel that allows the present power. We are compelled to remember. Pushed to clear away the wreckage of the past and celebrate the very core of who we are. Jesus ushered in new life, new thinking, new consciousness, new awarenesses about how we treat ourselves, people, community and God. He taught through his own humanity to remember deeply who we are in creation. Who we are in the eyes of God. At no time did Christ call us back as defective, ruined or even broken. He showed us spirit strengthens whats deep inside and through faith we transform in love, building heaven here and now. In the space of remembering be careful not to dwell. It’s too easy to get caught up in the tenor of the tit for tat of yesterday’s mistakes. Instead, keep a watchful eye on the past, reminding us over and over again we are joined to a love so great it never counts the past as the substance of who we are. In this way we are looking inward, listening to the patterns of history allowing contemplation to become fuel for loving in the present.

Remember who you are, where you came from.
