The Ego Survives On Finding Fault

Our Ego is never satisfied and will never create. It lives on finding fault. Your faults, my faults, the faults of culture and of course the faults of a universe that seems not to care for it’s inhabitants. It measures you against everything, builds mechanisms that keep you unmoved by injustice and teaches love is a commodity that has very little place or importance. The ego simply puts us at odds with each other and the Divine. Killing this dreaded monster means a clear look at self. Re-rooting the natural spaces of love in our lives. Defining spiritual practices in our lives, learning to love ourselves, community and God. These methodologies come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. From the deep longing of prayer to the study of a particular wisdom tradition that sparks interest. The main idea, get out of self. Be available to the needs of others and build something that will live beyond you in benefit of others. The ego is a formidable foe that takes no hostages. It can not live among love.

What will you build?

Are you interested in spiritual direction? Here’s how to get started.

Step 1. Schedule a complimentary, no-obligation consult. Do that here.

Step 2. Watch your email for questions from me. Before we hop on the phone, I’d like to know a bit about you and what you’d like to get out of spiritual direction or coaching with me.

Step 3. Hit “reply” to that email and answer the questions.

Step 4. At the scheduled time of your consult, we’ll talk! We’ll use the opportunity to make sure we’re the perfect fit.

Step 5. Then we’ll get started! If you decide to work with me, I’ll tell you the exact steps for getting started. If you decide not to work with me or if we aren’t a perfect fit, I’m happy to share other resources to help you get what you need.
