Need
Our teacher is “need.” Both our needs and the needs of others. Where do you see need? Who around you has need? And how do you take care of need? Are the needs of others social annoyance or can they produce life, give life and help establish the priority of community? How about your needs? Do you allow them the light of day or do you hold them down with the armour of pride, ego and fear? What is it like to have your needs met? Your needs, for the record, teach others to love. We become “heart locked” or emotionally unavailable through the fear around need. Thinking need will only embarrass, debilitate and create a lesser value of who we are. Need calls us to the Divine. Asking us to have mercy and grace for ourselves through our cry to God to, “Fix this. Fix that. Fix them. Fix me!” The Divine encourages us to hold each other in love through need.
