God Grabs Your Face With Both Hands
Deep in the book of Luke…
From the window God sees you returning home. Running to the door, flinging it open, he sprints down the driveway arms outstretched, grinning ear to ear. He grabs you, pressing His face against yours. The Divine whispers, “I’ve missed you. I love you. Welcome home!” You try to explain your absence but the Father, the Mother, the Friend pulls you even closer and simply says, “Shhhh.” He grabs your hand and walks you into a celebration. A party in which all those who love you and those you love attend. They have gathered for you. Their time is your time. Your journey is their journey. All night you catch up. You detail the sorrow and joy since you've been gone. You belly laugh. You shed tears, all while The Father sits watching. His son lost, now found.
